MAMA TREASURE

unearth treasures in the earth & yourself!

You are treasured!

Yes, you! Do you ever place your worth on what you do? or do not do? What about on who accepts you or doesn’t? Darlings, your worth is deeper than that. You are a treasure; a gem with many facets… too rich to be diluted down to just one category or definition. Perhaps a precious seed that may seem lifeless but with soooo much potential buried inside!

Me? I am an introverted extrovert (I get energy from being around people but am often afraid of stepping on toes). I am a type-B homeschool mama. I am an environmentally-conscious Christ follower. A gardener who has kinda maybe has killed a plant or two.

I often labeled myself as undisciplined, but after losing two babies and learning I had Hashimoto’s I made drastic life and diet changes; eating mostly meat and vegetables (no dairy, grains, eggs, sugar, coffee and alcohol) and y’all that takes discipline! By God’s grace, after a year and a half of a disciplined diet and never taking medication, I have reversed my Hashimoto’s. (Next MS!)

In addition to unearthing my dormant discipline, my trials launched me even deeper into my love of gardening. I believe we all have those desired attributes buried inside of us, just waiting to emerge. Treasure, already in us, even in the mess of life. And we just need to take time to unearth and cultivate it.

If you’re ready to dig deep and unearth your treasure, WHILE demystifying gardening AND learning to grow your own food in with me, join my facebook community Getting back to the Garden Movement and hold tight for a FREE 2-day webinar with LIVE garden giveaways.

This is how it all started…

I felt a calling to have a web presence since my little guy entered the world. I had a mommy/travel/fashion blog called Bless this MES (my initials). Was I living out all the pillars of my blog? Yes… but it felt forced and inauthentic. In just my blog name I was focusing on a negative trait of mine; I can be messy at times… especially compared to my type-A pilot husband. The name was catchy and topics trendy, but with the emotional dissonance of a negative-trait-centric name and surface level topics my blog fizzled out.

My surname, Schatz means treasure or darling in German. I was taking my newly earned last name to turn myself into a MES, rather than realizing I was a treasure, being refined by the fire. And man is marriage refining – in the best way! (more on that later).

I am more than a travel mom that likes to dress well. I am passionate about all facets of health; physical, emotional, spiritual, environmental, and I am so excited to share and encourage you all the depth that is possible. I am thrilled you found me and invite you to join me in finding treasure in the mess of life!
